Holiday Fun: Thirty Days of Thanks by Kell

There is no doubt that trees have been some kind of crazy obsession in my life lately.  I have been painting trees in the children’s wing at our church, we have been studying the fruit of the Spirit with our women’s study, and I just finished painting trees in the smallest guys room/ nursery and now we are doing felt trees full of thanks!  I say we, but I feel guilty even including myself.  My dear friend Amy is the master mind behind this project and I have just done some cutting, pinning & devo cards.  She on the other hand is hand stiching…talk about blood, sweat and tears going into this one!!  If you haven’t gotten your hands on the PB Kids catalog and bought or dreamed of buying the felt Thanksgiving tree then you just have to look it up (not on the website anymore b/c they are that cute)!  It is a lot like the “thankful four’s” that I just posted about from FamilyFun.com but a tree with leaf pockets & numbers for each day.  So for a measly $50, we are making three trees!!  They might not be as shi-shi as PB Kids but we adore them!  It’s a little late to make your own to start Nov 1, but no tree is needed!  Use the thankful prompts below and spend the month praising the Lord for all sorts of things.  (I created these for our families with 2/4/6 year olds so you could do your depending on the age of your children- adding more scripture verses etc.).

I am making that same tree! Hehe! I couldn't believe it when I read it on your blog. I started it a week or so ago and it is taking sooo long but I'm hoping it will be worth it in the end. I thought for sure I could make it cheeper than Pottery Barn. I wonder what my time is worth? It's been fun though. I'm excited to add the verses to it! HUGS!
